My first definition of urgent and hybrid publishing, written after the research done in our first class.

Preliminary conclusion:
After learning about Paul Soullelis and his work I can’t let go of the term ‘queer’. It is such a beautiful word with a broad range of meanings. When I think of urgency within the queer community, I think of the many unheard voices, racism within the community, a lack of representation, censoring of LGBTQI+ content and internalised homophobia. These are all very urgent topics and need way more attention in my opinion. Something that also interests me, is the irony when it comes to privilege. As a whole, the queer community is a marginalised group without any privileges. When you zoom in, you’ll see that for example white, cis gay men and cis lesbian women have many privileges in comparison to let’s say a black, trans, non-binary person.
While thinking of a subject in the first class, I already decided I wanted to focus on queerness. To me this was (and is) a most urgent matter.
Notice how the dictionary states that 'queer' is offensive. For me this is not the case. The meaning of 'queer' changes all the time. And depends on context and intention.
